I have this pair of jeans from banana republic. It’s my size and fits me, but its too long even though it says its my length. I’ve tried shrinking it with hot water and hot dry and it won’t shrink. Any ideas because I don’t want to sew it up because they are a decent pair of jeans.

When I scraped off tag now there is a square where it has like a sticky, tacky residue and you can tell the tag was there because it is lighter in color!! Can someone tell me how to get it off so it won’t be noticeable?? I just want them to be perfect. I tried putting the sticker back on but now it wont stick!
