For ladies?
Mrs. McDreamy Timberlake asked:
I get a lot of flack from people who I think should worry about their own finances and stop caring about how i spend my money. I mean, i pay my bills, buy stuff like food, then put some away for a rainy day (I am single and no kids… so no other responsibilities)… and if i have some left over, I treat myself to the occasional Coach bag, jimmy choos, bottle of bubbly, nice bubble bath stuff, dinner at a nice restaurant, some pretty, lacy undies, etc.

So 2 quesions… 1. is $300-$600 too much for a purse, and 2. am I being frivolous with my money?
ASH… yes… Louboutins are the best! Although I am dying to get some custom made Ferragamos… but that will have to wait until bonus time at work.

well as long as you get the important things out of the way, there’s no reason not to treat yourself every now and then.
but 300-600 for a bag is a bit TOO much, in my opinion

that is way too much for a purse…no one needs a purse that expensive..
But on the other hand it is good you treat yourself…i can’t stand people who think, that all their money HAS to be spent on bills in one go…Bills can be paid off in time..&& it’s not like you don’t pay your bills etc.
It’s good you enjoying your money…besides what’s the point of having money if you can’t enjoy it??

1st Q: DUH!! you can find other purses that are the same or even better for a lower price. another possibility would be to search on eBay
2ndQ: nope. that’s a perfect plan. saving up is good but you also have to know how to treat yourself

It’s your money. As a poor uni student 300-600 is too much for a purse for me, but if you can afford it and you love it, then who’s to stop you. Don’t let people judge you, just so long as you don’t see having some jimmy choos as a way to define you as a person you’re fine. Live your life so you’re happy!
it’s not like you’e living pay check to pay check, so you’re not too frivolous, you know how to look after yourself.
