How can I tell if a Gucci bag I bought on eBay is authentic?

Stephanie L asked:

So, I bought a “vintage” gucci clutch on eBay that’s advertised as being leather, but it doesn’t feel like leather and I’m not too sure about the tags. Any easy way to determine if I’ve been scammed?

Who cares anyway… tell your friends you have a Gucci bag and they will think you are cool. If it looks hot… money well spent.

check the tags inside of the purse…i bought a fake in ny, and the outside leather tags said it was made in italy…but in the inside lining there was a small tag that said made in china.

Odds are if you bought it on eBay – it’s fake. Even sellers that look legit with hundreds of feedbacks still peddle fakes on eBay everyday. As always, the price is telling – if you got a deal that was to good to be true, it probably is. However, no one has to know it’s fake – carry it will pride and no one will be the wiser :)
