how do we know whether a gucci product is authentic or not?
sling asked:
if gucci dust bag, controllato card and care card is provided? is there any way to check the bag itself for its authenticity?

u have to be a really big Gucci fan to know a good copy apart from an original. if u have all the papers it’s probably authentic. if it has a few mistakes like a non proportionality it could but doesn’t have to be fake. if u bought it at a store that sells brands like Gucci, Versace, Chanel, Dior, Prada and stuff it’s definitely real

Check where the bag is made. The front of some fake Gucci’s says made in Italy, but on the inside, it is clearly marked made in China.
The price. A new Gucci handbag for $100 is not authentic. The real thing often sells for $500 to well over $1000. Where it’s being sold.
Authorized dealers for Gucci do not sell handbags out of the trunk of a car. Nor do they sell them at online auctions or at home parties. If you bought somewhere like that, it may or may not be fake.
Point of origin tag. Designer apparel or leather goods with a “Made in Taiwan” tag are not authentic.
The only way to know if it’s real?
Only buy the goods from an authorized dealer (a department store or a company outlet). Many labels sell directly to the public on company-owned sites such as Gucci.com, eLuxury.com (Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, etc.)
Hope this helps.
