i started wearing 4 or 5 inch heels back when i was like 14. i’d maybe start with a steve madden or bakers brand. they are high, fashionable, good quality and won’t cost you a fortune.

Are you sure they are wearing real Jimmy Choo’s? I find it hard to believe that 15 year olds are wearing $500 shoes. Anyway, there are plenty of nice shoes out there. But unless you have an incredible sense of balance, you probably can’t go from Keds to 5 inch stilettos. 5 inch heels are also bad for your feet. Too much pressure is but in the ball of your foot and can cause problems down the road. Try starting off with a 1/2- 1 inch stacked heel. Stacked heels are usually more comfortable than any other type of heel and 1/2-1 inch in height will help you foot and ankel get used to the positioning of the foot in the shoe. When you are comfortable walking in a shorter heel, work your way up to 2 inches and a smaller heel. At 15, your parents probably won’t be surprised to hear that you want to try heels. Maybe offer to pay for them yourself.

hey, take it from me… you don’t need to ask for jimmy choos to keep up with your friends. go to department stores and get some ideas from the styles you see… try a few on and attempt walking around in them and see how you feel. if you think your legs and ankles are ready, talk to your mom and dad. start out talking to them about how much you really love fashion, and gradually get into the heel conversation. I don’t think your parents will be angry or upset, but don’t go and ask them for a $700 pair of strappy sandals. keep it within their budget, and start one with one or maybe two pairs that you really love. oh, and you’re boyfriend wearing better shoes than you – honey, you can put on a pair of $5 heels and i’m sure any shoes he has won’t shine a light to the way you look in yours.

Woah… Jimmy Choo’s to school? That’s a bit too dressy, in my opinion. You shouldn’t let what others wear affect you.

Though, there are ways to “girlify” (yes, a made up word) your wardrobe without heels. You could always add some cute accessories and feminine blouses/skirts with your keds and flats.

BUT~ If you really,really want heels… convince them on how heels will make you look taller, and improve your posture. If it’s your first time in heels, best to try something smaller than 5 inches. Trust me, your feet will thank you.

Don’t mention it to them. But don’t start off by wearing 5 inch heels, start off small like 2 1/2 inch ones and get used to them then you can ask you parents to wear taller ones if you choose to (even though I HATE 5 inchers…) if they haven’t objected to the smaller ones already.

You’re 15 and have friends that wear Jimmy Choo shoes??? I think you’re old enough to wear heels, but save the big names for when you’re old enough and mature enough to spend your own money on a pair.

Tell them you are growing up and you think you should upgrade your wardrobe. Have a yard sale and with the money you earn buy new shoes and clothes with that.
