Dr. Phil-lys asked:
If the interviewers specifically mentioned that they all wear jeans and dress casual. Do you guys think a cute Banana Republic suit with capri pants is too overdressed? Or are kakhis and a nice shirt more appropriate? This is a small music company in LA.

I suggest a nice shirt and some khakis, you want to make a nice impression and show that you are also very care free I mean its LA

You can look professional without wearing a suit. You could wear a nice pair of capris that are any type of material you’d like with a cute tank and one of those sophsticated cropped business coats. Ok picture this: nice khaki capris, a dark brown or green tank with sequins, and a cute dark blue cropped jacket. Put your hair up in a messy pony tail, long dangly earrings, and some beads around your neck with cute medium height sandals.

It’s probably best to wear the type of clothes that your co-workers will be wearing. However, an interview is usually considered a serious occasion so you might consider being a little more ‘dressed up’ for an interview than the style worn for everyday work.
