Is it appropriate attire for a female H.S. teacher to wear open-toed shoes/sandals?
kat i asked:
I don’t know if it looks too unprofessional. Thanks!

Alot depends on the school and the district it is serving. Generally speaking, I would say sandles are out, but hey …. are you the bohemian art teacher, the eccentric drama-mama, or are you teaching math, science or literature? When in doubt, skip the open-toe, and keep the heels sensible!

i feel that it depends on where you live and the demographics of the school district in which you teach…
i would tend to say that it might look a bit unprofessional though

Why not?!? My favorite teachers were always the least “professional” looking, they were the ones that were down to earth, helpful and easy to talk to.
