What brand high heels do you like? Is there a difference?
Vanessa asked:
Please rate the brands!! Prada, Jimmy choo, Escalada, Nine West, Aldo, BCBG, Via Spiga, Kenneth Cole, Dolce Gabbana, Gucci. Is there a different? is worth the money? I think sooo…I feel more powerful, sexier, in my Gucci heels than in my run of the mill Nine west!!!

knowing their designer just boosts your self-esteem but at the end of the day no one will know if you your wearing manolos or nine west because when your foot is in the shoe they cant see the tag that has the brand on it. But sometimes shoes like Gucci or BCBG have their logos on the side, so that makes a difference

Although we pay (a lot) more for designer shoes, there really is a difference. Since you know shoes, you should be able to recognize a cheap (target, payless, etc.) when you see them. I know I can, besides a cheap shoe is not good for the feet. Even though I stick to the price range of nine west & bandolino, the more expensive designer brands use better leather and the soles are sometimes leather. I say as long as you can afford it, meaning not in credit card debt, you should have what you want.

I’m going to answer this as honestly as possible and only include the ones I actually own:
Jimmy choo
BCBG
Nine West
Aldo
Prada
Don’t know: Escalada, Via Spiga, Kenneth Cole, Dolce Gabbana, Gucci
I live in England so may have a slightly different buying opportunity on some of these.
What I find is the most important thing about a heel is how well it fits your foot. You need to feel the spike is a natural extension of yourself. It doesn’t matter how classy the shoes are, if you don’t feel natural in them you can’t feel powerful or sexy and the rest.
Different shoe makers have different last shapes and different arch profiles. I found the Jimmy Choos really caress my foot, moulding to my arch whereas the Prada ones I have don’t. The relatively cheaper Nine West and Aldo would come above those.
There’s going to be various factors which make you feel good in certain shoes. For some the image or the quality of the material will be uppermost. For me it is the fit and how well I can walk smoothly as well as the quality of the materials. Whatever makes the person happy about her shoes is the decider which puts one brand above another.
