What is your favorite style of high heels?
~ Jamie ~ asked:
I am new to high heels and am starting with the kitten heel. I am a huge fan of ballet flats; however, I am only 5 ft 3 and need several pairs of heels. Which styles are your favorite? Ie. kitten heel, platform, pump. I have gained weight recently and am looking for an attractive but still comfortable shoe to start off in. I have heard that both wedges and platforms are more comfortable than a typical pump or even a stiletto. Is this true? Any suggestions or brand names that you have good luck with?

actually..it depends on the shoe itself. why dont you go into store, find whatever you like, try it on and see whether or not it’s comfortable. and take one piece of advice, NEVER buy cheap heels, NEVER. they are the most painful because their made terribly. buy designer ones, and if you cant afford it at the retail store, try nordstrom rack. they have great deals. sometimes, good brands cost only 20-40 dollars.

Your best option is to go for a thick heels. It will give you better balance as you get use to them. Also don’t get any shoes that don’t have some sort of strap keeping them on your feet. The worst thing to have happen to you is your shoe coming off and getting hurt. My favorites are Mary Janes since they look great and have a strap across the foot.
The best thing you can do is to go to a shoe store and try on some shoes. Get to know how you balance and walk.

I would go with a 3″ or 4″ basic pump or ankle strapped heel. Try going to your local mall and trying on the different shoes.
