Someone, somewhere has to tell me (and the world for that matter)?
louloutee asked:
why do women love shoes the way they (we) do? It’s something that I just can’t seem to explain to my husband. It seems the more I get, the more I want. And I feel “stupid” when I can’t answer that question. I love everything from Jimmy Choo’s to flip flops. Are we over compensating? WHAT!!!!???
Hello everyone. My name is LouLou and I am a shoe-oholic. But I don’t any intervention, just and new pair of Guisseppe’s, or LeSillas, or Louboutins, or Michael Kors, or Old Navy flip-flops!!!!

Most women are brought up to value appearance. Thus some women put a lot of effort into how they look (with clothing, accessories, etc.) because they believe they have to be that way.
***EDIT: for Devil’s Advocette, it’s actually under the extras> hats category for avatars

I’m a shoe drunk, no shoe meetings for me
hmm manolo’s……….
What were we talking about?
EDIT: eille: just out of curiosity, who put the hat on your avatar?
Just sounds like a lot of effort to put into your online appearance.

I think it’s best described as an obsession, a fetish, perhaps an addiction. A beautiful shoe is somewhat like a piece of art, to be admired and displayed.
There is no such thing as having too many pairs of shoes…to say otherwise…well…that’s just…just…blasphemous!
Off topic: Christian Louboutin shoes have become my new favorite shoe I’ll never afford. Fabu!

If your body looks bad your clothes are going to look bad but you have to have abnormally awful feet for them to look bad in shoes.

Women who love shoes have cute feet.
I don’t and I don’t.

Ah…I’m just the opposite. I despise shoe stores, have been that way since I was a kid. I can’t stand looking for shoes.

Honestly, get a grip! Take deep cleansing breaths…
There. Now you may not believe this, but I only own four pairs of shoes. I know intellectually that many women and men claim that women are all shoe freaks, but I can tell you that some of us are sane. Unfortunately for your checking account, your disease is incurable. I’ll pray for you, dahling!

Women and shoes are kinda like guys and cars. When you see a cute pair of shoes and try them on you get this feeling like ‘I just have to have them’. I know I have that problem and I try to stay away from the shoe stores as much as possible. If I don’t its pretty much a given I’m going to walk out of there with at least one box.

Hi, I am V, and I am a shoeaholic. I’ve been open with my addiction for years now and I have no desire to recover. LOL
Yeah, hubs doesn’t understand either and I just can’t explain it to him….

Smile. Hello sisters! I know exactly how you feel. Loving shoes is in our DNA, so why would we want to change that? It is something that makes us somehow more feminine. You can wear a pair of old jeans and a tee, but put on a dreamy pair of shoes and you are a star for an hour. It has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else. However, as soon as you put on your Jimmy Choo’s, you become someone else entirely. You walk like a fashion model. It does something to your behind and your entire posture. You feel like a sex goddess. That is what we are paying for, my dear sisters. The high that comes from feeling sooo desirable is addictive. Our men could never understand our reasons for buying sexy shoes, but they enjoy the results of our efforts… And why would we waste our time explaining something that should be our little secret?… Smile
