What are some options for high-quality sandals or open toed shoes for teenage boys?
scarlett79 asked:
We will be doing a ton of walking and I need them to be close to the sturdiness of a good athletic shoe but need them to be open toe. Will spend a little extra money

A “ton of walking” and an open toe !!! Thats not really a good idea. An open toed walking shoe is like – an oxymoron – like saying a healthy biscuit.
Why do you think you need an open toe? Some good quality walking shoes or something like Approach shoes with a supply of trainer socks if he has a sweaty feet problem. You can buy 5 pairs of sports sox for a fiver. Take some refreshing wipes – tea tree or similar. Can wipe over feet and change sox every couple of hours if necessary. Very refreshing.
High chance injury in some way with an open toe – could pull a nail off or something – nasty – lots of blood – would have to abandon walk, disruption for everyone.
If you really MUST have an open toe – take extra supplies in first aid kit for cuts, stings, insect bites, snake bites, bleeding, antiseptic and maybe walking stick. Good luck.
