stilleto shoes: what is ”in” with fashion now, pointy tips or rounded ones?

i have to buy a new pair or shoes to wear for work, with pants and suits, and i already have a pair of jimmy choo clasic black stilletos with the pointy tip , and i was wondering if i should get a new pair with the same tip, or go for the new round ones like the ones sarah j p used in sex and the city… are the round tips classic? i love them but i wanna buy sthg that a year form now wont be old, since they-re for work.
