Ladies – do you think it is ok to wear open toed sandals or “slides” in a professional business environment?

what about cropped pants or capris? i have some slacks that hit mid calf and i think they look fairly professional…….with a closed toe shoe of course! i am in a corporate accounting dept and the dress code says no sandals but EVERYONE here wears ‘em……….definitely agree that flip flops are never ok for work (and many other places)……thanks for the feedback!
