I guess they’re hard to find. No one’s really normal here… I think people at Jebel Ali Sailing Club or Dubai Offshore Sailing Club are rather easy going, check that out.

Well, I don’t know if you can call me normal, more likely not. I don’t drink, much more guzzle, don’t eat meat, don’t smoke, don’t have husband/boyfriend/child, but I’m not dead, mind you. I do like going out, trying out different restaurants, going to cinema even on my lonesome, discovering interesting places here in dubai, would love to visit galleries, exhibitions, free shows, taking walks sans dog. Well, I do book for manicure and pedicure once in 2 or 3 months, though my dependable manicurist had gone home, so my ingrowns are killing me! I have my own coffee maker, so who needs coffee mornings(what’s that?).
I believe there are lots of normal, cool friendly women here in Dubai according to your definition of normal. You just have to find the right watering places. I have heard of the website,, maybe you can visit and register and you might find the people you are looking for. Else, just be open and do away with putting people in boxes.
